What you need
- Entries for the month – workdays, vacation, sick days or public holidays.
- A browser that may open new tabs for app.zeitbro.com (pop-ups).
1 · Open Reports
Click Reports in the navigation at the top – on a phone the item is in the bar at the bottom. You see the current month: hours worked, balance, workdays and how much of your target you have reached.
2 · Pick the month
Use the arrows or the month and year selectors to set the month. The export always covers exactly the month shown here.
3 · Open the Export tab
Export is the fourth tab, after Overview, Weekly and Daily.
4 · Select the day types
On the left, under Filter by Status, nothing is selected at first. As long as that is so, the preview stays empty and both export buttons are disabled. Tick the day types that should go into the report, or click Select All. The number next to each type shows how many entries it has in the month.
5 · Pick a preset
On the right, Preset gives you two starting points.
- HR table – the classic hours table for HR: day by day with start, end, hours, breaks and notes.
- Payroll export – DATEV style for payroll: decimal hours (8,55 instead of 8:33) and balances, plus target, flextime balance and time type for each day. The preset selects all day types for you; the balances always count the full month.
The third preset, Custom, cannot be clicked directly. It switches on by itself as soon as you change something under Columns or Options.
6 · Check columns and options
Under Columns you choose what else goes into the table, for example target, break or notes. Under Options you set the hours format (8:33 or 8.55 (decimal hours)) and the date format. With Carry-over & month-end balances the PDF gets a carry-over row above the days and a month-end row below them, Vacation days balance adds a column. The Export Preview shows the table up front – the first 20 entries, not every column.
Balances are always calculated over the full month – even when you hide some day types in the status filter.
7 · Export as PDF
Click Export as PDF. Zeitbro opens the report in a new tab and starts the print dialog straight away. Choose Save as PDF as the destination – or a printer if you need the record on paper.
Your browser is blocking pop-ups. Allow them for app.zeitbro.com and click again.
For spreadsheets, use Export as CSV. How to open the file in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets is covered in Export your work hours to Excel (CSV).
Frequently asked questions
Can I export several months at once?
One export covers exactly one month. For several months, export them one after the other – with the arrows that is quick.
Are vacation, sick days and public holidays included?
Yes, as long as they are selected under Filter by Status. Day types you deselect are left out of the table; the balances still count the whole month.
Is this record enough for mandatory time tracking?
Zeitbro records when your work starts, when it ends and how long it lasts – the details mandatory time tracking is about. Which form your employer needs is set by your contract or a works agreement.
